| Overdose |
Acute Overdose: Diarrhea or Nausea.
Chronic Overdose: None.
What to do: Decrease dose or discontinue. For an acute overdose, call your doctor, emergency medical services (EMS), or the nearest poison control center immediately. For symptoms of chronic overdose, contact your doctor.

- Individuals with kidney or liver problem, herpes (either cold sores or genital herpes) or migraines, should consult their nutritionally oriented doctor before supplementing with
ornithine.
- Do not give to children unless prescribed by your health care professional.
- Ornitnine should be avoided by pregnant women (if they are healthy), breast-feeding women, and individuals over age 55.
