Phenylalanine occurs in two chemical forms: L-phenylalanine, a natural amino acid found in proteins; and its mirror image, D-phenylalanine, a form synthesized in a laboratory. In the body, phenylalanine is converted into another amino acid called tyrosine. |

Recommend intake of supplemental phenylalanine is 2.4 grams per day.
Note: Phenylalanine is available in three different forms, designated L-, D-, and DL-. The L- form is the most common type, and is the form which phenylalanine is incorporated into the body’s proteins. The D- type acts as a Discomfortkiller. The DL- form is a combination of the D- and the L-. Like the D- form, it is effective for controlling Discomfort, especially Discomfort of the arthritis; like the L- form, it functions as a building block for proteins, increases mental alertness, suppresses appetite, and Enhances people with Parkinson’s problem. | Overdose |
Acute Overdose: None
Chronic Overdose: Overuse of phenylalanine supplements can cause Uneasyness, headaches and High blood pressure.
What to do: For an acute overdose, call your doctor, emergency medical services (EMS), or the nearest poison control center immediately. For symptoms of chronic overdose, contact your doctor.

| Caution |
- Phenylalanine should not be taken by pregnant woman,
- Individuals who suffer from Uneasyness attacks, high blood pressure, Phenylketonuria (PKU), or
- preexisting pigmented melanoma, a type of skin Long standing problems should not take
phenylalanine.
- It should not be consumed with protein-containing foods.
- Individuals taking prescription or over-the-counter medications should consult a nutritionally oriented physician before taking
DLPA.
- If you are taking antipsychotic medications, do not use phenylalanine.
