Brewer’s yeast, beer, brown rice, cheese, meat and whole grains are excellent sources of chromium. Other good sources include dried beans, blackstrap molasses, calf liver, chicken corn, dairy products, dried liver, eggs, mushrooms, and potatoes.
Herbs that contain chromium include catnip, horsetail, licorice, nettle, oat straw, red clover, sarsaparilla, wild yam and yarrow.

Acute overdose: Occurrence of rashes, lightheadedness or hypoglycemia.
Chronic overdose: Dermatitis, gastrointestinal An eroded sore in the inner lining of digestive tracks, and kidney and liver impairment. At very high levels, the mineral may encourage the growth of Long standing problems. The effectiveness of insulin is adversely affected when there is excessive intake of the mineral.
